Description

This was a commission for :iconfeodrich:

He wanted me to create a some kind of old semi-automatic rifle like the M1 Garand and make it modernized, and it have two firing platforms. One ballistic firearm platform and the other be an energy weapon platform. And, for there to be a switch to go to one of the other, so you can use only one trigger. Originally he want for there to be only one barrel, but I couldn't think of a practical way to pull it off, so I when with the under-barrel dual platform idea. This Plasma BR is going to be used in some Star Wars game that he is making.

I am now going to be a bit picky, because lol autism.

As far as vision goes - all of your weapons have that special something that is sure to catch our eye. The way it combines simplicity and detail is sure to put this in many people's collections.

When it comes to originality though, it may not be your fault, but it doesn't look too innovative... I've seen this quite a few times before already. (Although I did use it too, so I'm not really one to talk.)

What bothers me with the "usability" of the gun is the mag and the shell ejector. It looks a lot like a Калашников in that regard, and that mildly suggests automatic fire. Also, going prone with a mag this long becomes impossible. And battle rifles are frequently used while prone.

I can say only good things about the technique, since I've become a great fan of it too, recently and I plan to use it a lot in the future.
Last thing about the gun that makes me a bit uneasy - it looks kinda... flat. I know it comes from a guy who's guns look like something out of Minecraft, but it just doesn't look right to me.

Still,
6.5/10 would use in a video game.
