Looks like a really particular vision you had in mind, very specific rather than a generic gun. The idea is good and well executed.
The idea of a plasma sniper is really cool and you did a fine job with the silhouette, it is a bit over detailed for me...but its still a good looking gun overall.
Lots of color on this one, for me its almost too much. I can see how you could justify the plasma effect giving the glowing look. I just personally think with so much detail on the rifle and then also glowing in so many places, my eyes dont know where to focus and the result ends up making the design seem really busy and chaotic. None the less, your actual painting technique is sound as usual. I really dont like the type font or colors of that "Liberico" word.
Not bad! So does it accelerate and fire a superheated plasma beam? Because from my experience playing shooters like say, Halo, plasma weapons generally make poor sniper weapons, as they fire slow-moving, brightly-glowing, easy to dodge energy projectiles you can see coming a mile away. But if this weapon fired the plasma in a particle beam, rather than in slow-moving bolts, then it would actually be a quite effective sniper weapon, almost like the Covenant beam rifle introduced in Halo 2!
Saw the 3D model of it, by the way. It's pretty impressive. I might start taking up teaching myself 3DS Max (which I've owned since 2011, just I haven't done shit with it until now) and actually model the guns I draw.
I guess it fires something like that. I still have no idea on how it works. lol
Sweet, I liked it too. Sadly, I haven't heard from him since he made it, so it's not going to be used in the game, sadly. Hopefully, I hear from him again if he ever logs online again. Well, if you ever get good with modeling let me know. :3
And too bad about the guy you made this for. I would have loved to see some of your designs in a game. But hey, I just rediscovered my PDF that has a bunch of tutorials for 3D Studio Max 2011 on it, so I could start teaching myself modeling as soon as the start of summer vacation. And once I get good enough (it'll probably be another year or two, given how slow I work,) for a small-ish price I could probably model some of your guns, or other peoples' guns too. I think the most difficult part would be texturing and rendering. I will have to find out where people get their textures from.
